Adult Makery
Process-led creative making for adults — no kits, no templates, no pressure.
Service Description
Adult Makery sessions are designed for adults who want to make, experiment, and explore materials without following instructions or aiming for a perfect outcome. These sessions are not workshops and not classes. There is no step-by-step project and no expectation that everyone creates the same thing. Instead, the Makery is set up with a carefully curated range of materials and tools, and participants are supported to work at their own pace, follow their curiosity, and see where ideas lead. Some people arrive with a clear plan. Others discover their ideas through materials. Both approaches are welcomed and supported. Facilitators are present to: • support safe tool use • offer guidance when requested • help problem-solve and troubleshoot • maintain a calm, well-prepared environment Adult Makery sessions are process-led and skill-aware, but never instructional. The focus is on enjoyment, exploration, and creative thinking rather than producing a finished or “correct” result. These sessions suit adults who: • want a relaxed creative outlet • enjoy working with their hands • feel put off by traditional craft workshops • want creativity without pressure or performance No prior experience is required. You don’t need to be “creative” to attend — just open to exploring materials and ideas. Adult Makery sessions run as occasional pop-ups and special events rather than weekly classes. Dates are released in advance and places are limited to keep the experience calm and spacious.
